What a great time at EAA Oshkosh Wisconsin Flyin 2016
Camping ar Camp Scholar put us close to the action for the entire week of the fly in. It's great being with people that share the same interest such as RVing and airplanes.
Even though thousands of people were camping we still had room for our screen room and a place for our car dolly. The RV was close enough to the airstrip that we could sit at our campsite and watch the show. After a long day of walking it was a pleasure to sit in our lounge chairs, relax, and see the planes fly over.
Just a little of the show
Some mornings the traffic was heavy getting to the main gate and back to the RV. Sometimes the guys didn't feel like walking to the gate so I was the designated taxi driver in charge of drop off and pick up. As you can see it wasn't such an easy job!
Not everyday was spent at the air show. Our visit to the EAA museum was exciting too. Seeing the vintage planes, an airplane that was also a car, and meeting Dick Rutan in person was quite an experience.
We drove over to the Seaplane Base where the Martin Mars water tanker and many other seaplanes were.
What a week it was from meeting new friends, exploring all types of aircraft, watching two spectacular night shows with fireworks and being a part of Oshkosh EAA 2016.
